Lissa de Sailles is a South Coast fibre artist and basket maker who has studied internationally over the past five years.This body of work explores the use of recycled materials using traditional and contemporary basketry construction techniques. Exhibition extended due to NYE Fires.
WATER - Open Art Prize

Spiral Gallery Co-operative is sponsoring the WATER Open Art Prize exhibition. This exhibition is open to all members of the community plus artists working in any medium at any level of practice. From a drop to an ocean, water is life. Sweat, dew, liquid, ice, snow, fog. from drought to flood, river and beach, we cannot live without water.
Me Here Now - The Wisdom of Women
International Women's Day exhibition with Women's Resource Centre
6-25 March
The ’Me. Here. Now.’ exhibition will showcase works from women of the Bega Valley which explore themes around life experience or ‘Journey’ and the inevitable recycling or re-invention of oneself as we move through different phases and challenges in our lives. The works on display will be an expression and celebration of the strength, resilience and insight of women and reflect the value, individuality, splendour and wisdom of the ‘current self’ of the artists who create them. The intention in most of my paintings is to combine the elements of Mother Nature with the spiritual. Taking motives and symbols from different cultures and religions, the aim is to visually represent an invisible, feminine, creative power. This exhibition was rescheduled from April due to Covid -19 NSW Government shut down.
