Monstrosities: The Art of Monsters - David Atkins - Gallery One
30 August - 18 September 2019
My work is inspired by imagination & fantasy of mythical creatures. The exhibition at the Spiral Galley will be a collection of images that are both colourful & whimsical. Paintings on canvas & collective constructions of beastly animals made of wood, cardboard, plastic & metal. I use vivid colours and bold design to illustrate the beasts. Not all monsters do monstrous things.
Oddities - Zoe Tindale & Melanie Zangger - Gallery One

'Oddities' explores the strange & interesting phenomena that surround us. We hope that our art, a combination of sculpture & mixed media, help to remind us all to step outside of our daily lives & appreciate the intrinsic workings of the natural world & the wonders of the spiritual realm. Please join Zoe Tindale & Melanie Zangger for the opening night on the 20 September 5pm.

Identity & Place will explore responses to the Tarraganda, Vimy Ridge, Tathra wild fires & the surrounding country, as they now begin to recover. Local artists will explore their stories about the March fires, & their sense of place and identity. The project offers artists an opportunity to explore: the central importance of home, the fragility of the environment, the hidden strengths within a community, the efforts to re-build a home & a township, & to restore the landscape after such a devastating event.
